I am looking to work with 2 dancers interested in gesture, comedy, tap dance, vocalization, amazing feats and failed tricks.
Rehearsals for this project would begin in March and extend through the end of the summer. Performance dates are TBD.
Rehearsal dates and times are flexible but interested dancers should be available for one weekly rehearsal and one additional weekend rehearsal per month.
Rehearsals will take place within the greater DC metro area, exact location TBD. The artists currently involved live in Bethesda, Hyattsville and Frederick, MD.
We plan to create a dance, theatre, postmodern, deconstructed cabaret performance. Two dance performers and one sketch comedy-emcee of sorts will collide to discover…something, about performance, the ego, human nature. If this sounds a bit lofty it is, but that will change soon enough.

This is an opportunity to work in a flexible, collaborative setting, with multidisciplinary creators. As a dancer and fellow collaborator you will have a significant stake in the creation of this work. In addition to the traditional mode of learning choreographed dance material, many rehearsals will be improvisational and involve playing and creating with other artists (an actor, a choreographer and a musician).
the fine print
We would love and we hope to be paid and pay you for your involvement in this project. Currently we can’t provide a paid contract. We are fledgling creators and this is a fledgling project. We strongly believe that if we do the work we will be rewarded, so let’s do the work and see where it takes us! Performance fees will be negotiated as opportunities to perform arise.
